Hello fellow path of exile community and GGG,this is my first ever guide I hope you all enjoy it.

Thornheir – Elemental Storm Druid
Tornado Trigger Engine | Elemental Ground Control | Diablo II Inspired


Overview

Thornheir is an Elemental Druid built around Tornado as a persistent storm engine, layered with triggered elemental catastrophes rather than traditional spell spam.

Inspired by the Diablo II Elemental Druid, this build emphasizes:

Battlefield control over burst rotations

Elemental ground effects instead of direct hit stacking

Shapeshifting for mobility and survivability

This is not a one-button build.
It is a system-driven caster designed for PoE 2’s trigger mechanics.

How the build works;

Pounce into mob pack to hit shocking mark
Lunar Assault to freeze and add freezing ground
Cast tornado to use freeze and shock ailment from ground
Cast second tornado
Cast on Elemental Ailment will then trigger chaining addtional tornado
Rinse and repeat
Use Elemental Weakness for rare mob
Use Apocalypse on bosses

WHAT I AM WORKING ON ~

The build is still in BETA but able to clear maps T1-T5
Upgrading gear to sustain more crit to proc Cast on Critical

&

Trying out Orcale ascend for Invetible Crits

FUTURE GOALS ~

adding Temporalis with blink to speed around map
adding wolf pack
(make it feel like druid on d2)

Update 1:
Upgrading to 300+ Spell Damage Staff
4th Ascend into Apocalypse for extra aliment and boss damage

Update 2:
New boots and Amulet
Swapping out nodes skill tree for faster aliment
6th Socket on Tornado (huge buff)

removed Elemental Invocation to added elemental weakness as curse (rare mob use)
