Yeah but it has two meanings. The second one may be that GGG makes "Games that Grind our Gears" and I think it applies to many players rn.

The problem isn't that gear is too important at all. The problem is that it is impossible to get incremental upgrades. There is too much RNG and too little control. After act 3 you're lucky if you get 2-3 new weapons before tier 6 maps, even more so if you are a spellcaster.
